Minis from Sherlock Holmes (all 'verses) are mini-Hounds of the Baskervilles. These mini-Hounds appear as huge, floppy-eared, baggy-skinned puppies, which resemble Neapolitan Mastiff puppies. They have puppy-soft black fur, which is tipped with green, and they give off a glow that is strong enough to be visible even in full light. They have red eyes, and they drool extensively. Their bay is quite spine-tingling, and they are capable of running great distances. They are rather affectionate to their owners, but have the potential to be vicious toward intruders, especially Sues and fanbrats. They eat raw bacon and eggs, and enjoy chewing on leather boots. It is important to note that they must be fed a fruit body of the honey fungus (otherwise known as a honey mushroom), which produces foxfire (bioluminescence) each day to maintain their glow.

Canon Origin[]

The Hound of the Baskervilles remains one the best-known and most frequently adapted of the original Doyle stories. It concerns the legend of a gigantic spectral hound that haunts the Baskerville family (based on the real world legend of the black dog). However, deaths on the moor surrounding Baskerville Hall appear to be caused by an actual living creature.

The actual "monster" hound turns out to be a mix of bloodhound and mastiff breeds, large, and trained into viciousness by beatings and starvation. It was made to glow through phosphorous, mixed by a long-lost family member of the Baskervilles. He had planned to use the hound to eliminate all other heirs to the Baskerville inheritance, stealing pieces of Baskerville clothing to give the hound the scent. Using the rightful heir of Baskerville as bait, Holmes, Watson and Lestrade manage to shoot the hound to death before it can kill again.
