The Special Interdepartmental Elven Languages Unit, or SIELU, was originally formed as a subdivision of the Department of Mary Sues especially to handle incidences of badfic whose Sues weren't bad enough to warrant attention from the overworked DMS, but that were still guilty of mangling one or both of Middle-earth's Elven languages, Quenya and Sindarin, to the point of seriously disrupting the Elves. SIELU has since been merged into the Department of Floaters as a division thereof.

SIELU is run by the Poison Ivy, who wears a bright pink suit and has her office behind a red door. Its original agent is Agent Lambda. The division and its personnel were created by Hellga.

Emma Kaylan was a member of SIELU from 2001 until her death in 2008.
