On Blackouts and their Troubles[]

So in this story, as well as the Sundering story "Sacrifice", we see the kind of nastiness that can happen when power to HQ's shields fails. But I just realised - why, then, didn't anything like this happen when the Black Cats caused a blackout in HQ back in 2006 to aid their invasion? Was the power off for too short a time? Just something that popped into mind. 72.228.2.25 03:06, December 27, 2013 (UTC) (still Ekyl)

Possibly, since the Cats themselves were planning on being inside HQ, they kept power to the shields while depriving the agents of everything else? Or maybe the Angels just happened to nap through it.

Obviously hS can correct me if I'm wrong, but no, as far as I remember the whole point of causing the blackout was to take down the shields and allow the Cats to portal into HQ. Power seems to've come back on not that much later (?) but when you consider the instant nastiness that went on in these two stories... :P 72.228.2.25 16:53, December 27, 2013 (UTC)
Hum. Well. (Obviously, I read it a while ago.)
Perhaps what the Cats did was weaken the shields, enough that controlled plothole technology could force a way through, but not to the point where random critters started pouring in. (But yes, hS gets final say. SHARE WITH US YOUR WISDOM OH HISTORIAN)
